Helen was living in private rental accommodation and approaching her 55^th birthday. She was looking to secure her future by purchasing a house for her and her partner to live in. She asked Audley to review all of her pensions, her State Pension and her current pension from her service in the Police.

After projecting her pensions to her retirement age, it was clear that her outgoings would be met by the State Pension, her police pension and her Partners disability payments. As such, it was possible to take a tax-free lump sum sufficient enough to purchase a family home outright. She will also be able to save her monthly rental payments and still have a substantial pension fund remaining after she takes the lump sum to ensure she has a comfortable retirement. Helen is now making plans for her new mortgage-free home.
